MNYFO Wed Night Derby at Forest Lake

Experience the joy of fishing at the MNYFO Wednesday Night Derby at Forest Lake, a weekly event designed for young anglers aged 14 and under. Held every Wednesday evening from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, starting on July 16, 2026, and continuing through August 27, 2026, this tournament offers a perfect setting for youth to hone their fishing skills amidst the serene waters of Forest Lake. The event is organized by the Minnesota Youth Fishing Organization, reflecting a strong commitment to promoting youth angling throughout Minnesota.

Each week, participants have the opportunity to compete for trophies awarded to the top three finishers, as well as special prizes for the biggest bass caught. This is not only a chance to showcase fishing skills but also an opportunity to connect with peers who share a passion for the sport. The tournament utilizes the Reel Livewell mobile app, allowing participants to virtually showcase their catches and track their progress on the leaderboard.
