From September 16 to September 21, 2025, the Moab Festival of Science invites families, couples, pet lovers, and friends to explore the wonders of the Colorado Plateau in Moab, Utah. Later that evening, a screening of “Walking with Dinosaurs” is followed by a Q&A with Dr. Joshua Lively, Curator of Paleontology at the Prehistoric Museum in Price, Utah.

Saturday, September 20, includes a geology hike with Will Leggett and a lichen ecology hike with Dr. Steve Leavitt, both offering insights into the area’s unique natural history. The Harvest Festival at the Youth Garden Project provides interactive activities for all ages. The evening concludes with a presentation on the biomechanics of hummingbird flight by Dr. Bret Tobalske, followed by a screening of “Every Little Thing.”

Sunday, September 21, features a “Flood Walk and Talk” at Rotary Park, discussing Moab’s flooding challenges and natural flood protection strategies.
