Event details

The Revelree Music Festival brings two days of Canadian music to the sandy shores of Lake Huron on July 18 and 19, 2026, transforming Sarnia’s beloved Canatara Park into an open-air celebration where indie rock anthems drift across blue-flag waters and the summer sun sets behind one of the Great Lakes’ most scenic coastlines. General admission is free, with headliners The Sheepdogs closing Friday night and The Strumbellas taking the main stage Saturday, while a supporting lineup of Canadian talent fills the hours between with everything from rock swagger to folk-tinged storytelling.

Canatara Park is the largest and most well-known park in the City of Sarnia, featuring a long stretch of sandy beach, rentable picnic pavilions, a concert stage near the water, and many paved and unpaved trails. The festival grounds occupy 105 hectares of parkland along Lake Huron, where the beach has earned official Blue Flag status for its commitment to strict water quality standards that place it among only 27 beaches in Canada to achieve such recognition. Friday’s performances run from late afternoon through the 10 PM headliner, with JJ Wilde, Texas King, and The Action Figures building energy through the evening. Saturday mirrors the schedule, bringing Bedouin Soundclash, The Darcys, and emerging acts to two stages while food trucks serve local fare and beachside chill zones offer respite between sets.

The surrounding region rewards those who extend their stay beyond the festival hours. Pinery Provincial Park, located along Lake Huron near Grand Bend, comes with a beautiful beach, kilometres of rare forests, rolling dunes, and one of the highest-ranked sunsets in the world. Closer to town, Highland Glen Conservation Area covers land on the shores of Lake Huron and offers fishing, swimming, and hiking trails that climb to overlooks revealing the full expanse of the lake’s azure waters. The Stones ‘N Bones Museum features a collection of animal fossils, precious stones, and natural history exhibits, while the Judith and Norman Alix Art Gallery anchors Sarnia’s cultural district with rotating exhibitions that celebrate Canadian artists.

The Sarnia region boasts local breweries and wineries that offer wine-tasting events along Lake Huron’s west coast. Refined Fool Brewing Company originated from a group of ten friends who pooled their talents to create unique brews, and their downtown location has become a gathering place for locals seeking handcrafted beers in a welcoming atmosphere. Paddy Flaherty’s Irish Pub, designed in Dublin and shipped to Sarnia Bay for reassembly, serves fish and chips alongside imported beers with views of the harbor. Big Fish restaurant draws praise for excellent food and beautiful presentation, while Freighters Eatery and Taproom offers locally sourced menu options overlooking the St. Clair River and the Blue Water Bridge. For a more intimate evening, Sideways Classic Grill reflects what its owner calls a cozy, stylish bar with fantastic food and curated drinks.

The sandy beach within Canatara Park stretches nearly a kilometer along the shore of Lake Huron near the mouth of the St. Clair River, and the festival takes full advantage of this setting with spaces designed for families, couples seeking quiet corners, and groups gathering for shared meals. The water of the St. Clair River and Lake Huron is a beautiful blue colour, providing a backdrop unlike any traditional concert venue. VIP upgrades offer shaded seating and backstage access for those seeking an elevated experience, while the general admission crowds spread across lawns and sand with picnic blankets and folding chairs.

The combination of world-class Canadian music, pristine freshwater beaches, and the easy hospitality of Ontario’s Blue Coast makes Revelree an ideal anchor for a longer lakeside retreat. Vacation rentals throughout the Sarnia-Lambton region offer the space and flexibility that festival weekends demand, whether you’re traveling with family, gathering friends for a music-filled escape, or seeking a waterfront home base for exploring one of the Great Lakes’ most welcoming stretches of shoreline. Book your stay on Lake.com and settle into the rhythm of lake life, where the music plays on long after the final encore fades across the water.
