Event details

Spring Arts in the Park brings a juried selection of fine art and handmade craft to downtown Blue Ridge over Memorial Day weekend. You will browse professional artist tents throughout the walkable City Park, with the mountain air and tree cover making it easy to take your time. Expect a focused shopping day geared to collectors and design-minded weekend travelers, not a loud street-fair scene.

Plan to arrive by 10:00 AM on Saturday for the best selection, especially in ceramics and jewelry. As you move through the rows, you will see oil paintings, photography, custom woodwork, metalwork, weaving, and functional pottery. Live demonstrations add context and let you watch the technique behind the finished pieces.

Admission is $5 per adult, with proceeds supporting the local arts community. Parking in downtown Blue Ridge fills quickly, so use public lots a few blocks off Main Street, then walk in. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a reusable tote for smaller purchases, and pack high-SPF sunscreen plus a hat since the park alternates sun and shade. If the main park area feels busy, pivot to nearby local galleries for a quieter browse. This is family-friendly, and well-behaved dogs on leashes are generally welcome.

You can pair the festival with an easy nature break, Lake Blue Ridge and Chattahoochee National Forest trailheads are about a ten-minute drive away. For maximum walkability to the event and dining, stay near the Blue Ridge Historic District, or choose Morganton and the Toccoa River for a more secluded base, including lakefront rentals. The festival runs rain or shine under covered tents, food vendors are on-site with more options in town, and City Park paths are flat and paved for strollers and many mobility needs.
