Jets and parachutists return after three decades
A full-day airport spectacle combines aerobatics, military parachutists, warbirds, a 5K, barbecue competition, concerts, and twilight flying for regional families.
Event details
High-speed jets, precision aerobatics, military parachute teams, and historic aircraft return to Texarkana Regional Airport after a three-decade absence, building toward a twilight finale at the Texarkana Airshow. Ground programming starts early with a runway 5K, a barbecue competition, exotic-car experiences, and live music across the tarmac.
Running from morning into night, the show gives families a full day to move between static aircraft displays, food, and performances at whatever pace suits younger children, with plenty of natural breaks for shade and rest between demonstrations. Tickets start at $10, and children 13 and under attend free, keeping the day approachable for larger family groups.
Because programming continues well past sunset, an overnight Texarkana Stay is far more comfortable than a long post-show drive with tired kids. As a signature America 250 celebration, regional interest is expected to run high, so book rooms before the airport crowds arrive and plan arrival time around parking and security lines well in advance. Bring ear protection for younger children sensitive to jet noise, and scout shaded viewing areas early in the day.
