Event details

The GIANT 5K Memorial Day Moto Run/Walk is a morning plan that pairs a timed 3.1-mile run or walk with a post-race motorcycle show, all hosted at Ben Davis High School on Indianapolis’s west side. You arrive, pick up your bib, and start your holiday with a straightforward course and clear race operations, then stay on-site for a social bike showcase that draws riders, runners, families, and spectators.

You can expect an 8:00 AM start, with awards for winners across multiple age categories. After you finish, the event transitions into the motorcycle show, where you will see a wide range of builds, including vintage cruisers and current sport bikes. The viewing area is included with your race entry, and we keep the atmosphere open and conversational so you can talk with local riders and fellow participants.

Plan to arrive by 7:15 AM for bib pickup and a warm-up. Registration is $25, and early sign-up improves your chances of receiving the commemorative shirt. Park in the main high school lots, but expect them to fill as bike show participants roll in; bring a change of clothes if you want to stay for awards, and prioritize hydration since Central Indiana humidity can rise quickly.

The event is family-friendly and welcoming for all fitness levels, with strollers allowed on the course; please leave pets at home for safety and to protect the motorcycles. We run rain or shine, although severe weather can delay the start, and you will find water at the midpoint and at the finish. With a noon finish, you still have the afternoon for downtown dining, Speedway, or a quick getaway to nearby lakes and parks, and you can stay close by in the Speedway or Airport districts or choose downtown lodging within about a fifteen-minute drive.
