Fish, music, and vendors for West Virginia Trout Fest
Head to Franklin for West Virginia Trout Fest with trout dinner, live music, a family trout rodeo, and a sportsman vendor show near the river.
Event details
Franklin’s first-weekend-in-May tradition is West Virginia Trout Fest, a celebration built around cold, clear streams and mountain-town pride. Expect a Friday-night trout dinner and music, then a Saturday that spreads across riverside fishing, vendor browsing, and family activities, including a youth-friendly trout rodeo.
Pack waders or just a picnic blanket and enjoy watching anglers work the current. With Monongahela National Forest close by, Trout Fest makes a natural anchor for a weekend of hiking, scenic drives, and springtime wildlife spotting.
