Sea Center Texas will not host any public fishing events in 2026. According to the official Texas Parks & Wildlife Department website, ongoing construction on the facility’s fishing ponds has forced cancellation of all public fishing events this year, including the popular Youth Fishing Day typically held in June. The aquarium and visitor center remain open, and events are expected to resume once pond improvements are complete.
