What Lake Best Rate covers

When you book an eligible stay directly on Lake.com, you are guaranteed the best publicly available rate for that property.

If you find a lower rate for the same stay on another public online travel agency booking platform within 24 hours of booking, Lake.com will review your claim and match the lower price.

How to qualify

Your claim must meet all of the following:

  • Same property
  • Same dates
  • Same number of guests
  • Same number of pets
  • The lower rate is publicly visible and still available when you submit your claim
  • Your claim is submitted within 24 hours of booking

How to submit a claim

  1. Find the lower rate on another public online travel-booking platform.
  2. Take a screenshot showing the property, dates, guest count, and price.
  3. Copy the URL of the property listing on the competing site.
  4. Email your screenshot, property listing’s URL, and booking details to help(at)lake.com.
  5. Lake.com will review your claim and respond within 24 hours.

What is not covered

Lake Best Rate does not apply to:

  • Member-only or login-required rates
  • Direct-booking sites of hosts and or property managers
  • Loyalty program or rewards rates
  • Coupon, promo code, or cashback rates
  • Opaque rates (where the property name is hidden at the time of booking)
  • Package or bundle rates that include flights, car rentals, or other add-ons
  • Rates found within 24 hours of your check-in date
  • One claim per booking

Lake Extra perks

Some properties include a Lake Extra — a small perk added by the host for guests who book direct. Examples include a s’mores kit, firewood bundle, dockside coffee pack, or local marina credit.

Lake Extras are set by individual hosts and are not available on every property. If a stay includes a Lake Extra, it will be shown on the property page before you book.
