The boat yard / marina is located at St. Mi. 89 along a fresh water section of the cross-Florida Okeechobee Waterway, 11 miles west of Lake Okeechobee. This area is as “hurricane-proof” as is possible in Florida. With locks in both directions, water surge is minimal, and there is no tide.
