In 1972 the Island Outpost was founded with a focus supporting the Island’s the burgeoning tourism and sport fishing industries with high quality clothing and sporting goods.Today three generations of our family are committed to continuing these traditions and serving the Island community.In our store we carry Kuhl, Helly Hansen Fjällräven, Mountain Khakis, Hook & Tackle, Aran Crafts, Merrell, Sperry, Hey Dude, Tilley Hats, ORCA Coolers, Buck Knives and a large selection of Washington Island sportswear. We also support our local artisan communities with a selection of local hand crafts, artwork, and pottery. Our 45′ x 250′ docking facilities with 30 and 50 amp power service can accommodate vessels of all sizes. With scenic views of Detroit Harbor and beautiful morning sunrises, the Outpost Dock offers a unique Door County mooring experience.
