North Shore Yacht Club

Located on the shores of Lake Michigan in beautiful Highland Park, IL since 1935, the NSYC is an affordable membership organization for Sailors, Kayakers, Power Boaters, Stand Up Paddlers and home to Outrigger Chicago. NSYC members are a warm and welcoming group of people who share a love of our beautiful lakefront in a relaxing environment. We are an ALL VOLUNTEER, not-for-profit membership organization, and open to residents of all communities.We offer Youth & Adult Sailing courses, Racing Workshops, weekly Sunday & Thursday Sail Racing, a Summer Regatta, Intro & skill development Kayak courses, Full Moon Paddles, and waterfront family activities. Classes are provided by our US Sailing & ACA Certified Instructors and we welcome newcomers to the sports. NSYC owned boats include Sunfish, Kayaks, Lasers, Club 420’s, a Buccaneer, and SUPS and are available for Sail & Kayak members’ use on a first-come first-served basis, except during club organized classes and events. The Park Ave Boating facilities include both a concrete and a sand ramp, and a beachfront boat launch to accommodate a variety of watercraft.
