Plum Branch Yacht Club is a lake paradise with pristine waters for all things aquatic, a vacation getaway spot for families, and a safe-haven with acres for children to enjoy childhood-wanderings, activities, and explorations. Plum Branch Yacht Club was established on March 2, 1996, by George Selfridge and Bea McClain, formerly of Atlanta, who were selected by the Corps of Engineers to operate the business now known as Plum Branch Yacht Club at Lake J Strom Thurmond (aka Clarks Hill Lake).

The marina is on landlocked Lake Thurmond. Do not have very many transients, but does have covered overnight slips size 12’x25′ for $20 per night. Sizes go up to 22’x90′ and prices varies by size, but not by length of the boat as in coastal marinas.
