Sloop Tavern Yacht Club

STYC was founded in 1976 by a group of live-aboard and racing sailors over beers at the Sloop Tavern in Seattle, WA. We continue to maintain a relationship with the tavern and often hold post-race events there. Our races and cruises are generally out of Shilshole Bay Marina in Ballard located at 7001 Seaview Ave NW. Sailors with and without boats are welcome to join us for all events with one of the lowest membership fees in the Seattle area. STYC has grown to over 300 members, keeping the original intent of being the club that welcomes everyone and costs little.
