July 19, 2025 at Portage Lakes State Park (4264 E River Rd, Akron, OH), Dragons on the Lake is an annual dragon boat racing festival featuring teams from local businesses and clubs competing in 200-meter sprints. Spectators enjoy lakeside viewing, cultural performances, food trucks and a family fun zone. Entry and viewing are free; race heats run 9 AM–5 PM.
