Trade daytime laps for a winter night adventure at Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson, where the full Sap Moon lights the groomed trails. Your guide leads a moderate 2 to 3 mile loop, with moments of quiet listening for owls and nocturnal forest sounds.
Bring your own Nordic skis, a headlamp, and warm layers, then meet at the Welcome Center for a memorable after-dinner outing that still gets everyone to bed at a reasonable hour.
