Event details

Over Memorial Day weekend, the Oak Creek Arts and Crafts Show turns Sedona Vista Village in the Big Park area into an outdoor gallery you can shop at your own pace. You will browse rows of specialized artisans offering handcrafted jewelry, ceramics, textiles, and other packable finds that suit a weekend itinerary. Plan it as a smart stop between drives on the Red Rock Scenic Byway and time in nearby Oak Creek Canyon.

The setup is open and easy to navigate, with wide views of the surrounding sandstone formations as you move booth to booth. Artists are juried and the lineup changes year to year, so each visit feels current without requiring a full-day commitment. Many visitors pair the show with a short outing on the Bell Rock Path or a slow drive to a viewpoint pull-off, then return to finish shopping.

Arrive when the show opens at 9:00 AM for the best selection and cooler temperatures. Entry is free, and parking is available within the Sedona Vista Village complex, which makes a quick drop-in simple even on a busy weekend. Bring a wide-brimmed hat and high-SPF sunscreen since shade is limited, and ask vendors about shipping if you choose a larger piece you do not want to carry later. The show continues during light rain, but severe weather can pause operations; if crowds build, take a lunch break at an adjacent cafe and come back.

For the most convenient access, stay in the Village of Oak Creek for a quieter base than Uptown Sedona, with vacation rentals featuring red-rock views and resorts near local golf courses; we also like it for fast starts to morning hikes. Expect to spend one to two hours browsing, and you will find food nearby within the same shopping center. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are generally welcome in the outdoor common areas.
