Event details

Lake Geneva wears April well. The ice has gone, the summer crowds have not yet arrived, and the shoreline holds a particular stillness that makes a weekend centered on whiskey feel exactly right.

The third annual Wee Whiskey Fest runs April 17 through 19, 2026, hosted by the Geneva Lakes Whiskey Club across the resort town and the AAA Four-Diamond Grand Geneva Resort and Spa, where the Saturday Grand Tasting fills the Grand Ballroom with more than 150 bourbons and whiskies from 50-plus distilleries, Scottish bagpipes providing the room’s atmosphere while guests work through a Whiskey Passport program at their own pace.

Wisconsin’s own Dancing Goat Distillery serves as the official festival partner, with Master Distiller Nick Maas creating Wee Sippin’ Whiskey exclusively for 2026. Red Line Bourbon sponsors the citywide Cocktail Contest, where Lake Geneva bartenders build original recipes across downtown venues throughout the weekend. Friday opens with Bourbon and Burlesque at Celebration on Wells, performed by K-Town Burlesque. Sunday closes with the Irish Goodbye Party at Champs Sports Bar and Grill, where the cocktail winner gets named over live music and a final pour.

Ticket tiers run from $125 general admission through the $1,195 Bottled-in-Bond couples package, which adds a night at boutique Maxwell Mansion, a custom barrel tasting set, and two exclusive tastings with limited edition flasks. The Highlander tier at $295 includes a Geneva Lakes Whiskey Club barrel-pick bourbon bottle.

The lake is the reason to stay longer. Geneva Lake stretches 5,262 acres at 864 feet elevation, cold and clear and ringed by Victorian estates and boat docks that have defined this shoreline since the 1870s. Lakefront homes, cottages, and A-frame cabins through Lake.com put you on the water for morning walks before the first pour of the day.
