Spring migration shows up early at Fields Pond Audubon Center in Holden, and these beginner walks are an easy way for kids and adults to get their eyes in. You will circle ponds, woods, and edge habitat, learning how to listen for calls and pick out field marks as new birds arrive each week.
Bring binoculars if you have them, wear waterproof shoes for muddy trails, and expect a gentle pace with plenty of stops for questions and quick ID tips.
