Maple Grove Marina

Maple Grove Marina, situated at 1120 Vermilion Road in Vermilion, Ohio, boasts a rich history that spans over a century. Originally established as the Maple Grove Yacht Club in 1910 by a group of local businessmen, this marina has evolved from an exclusive private club to a vibrant public destination. During World War II, it served as a U.S. Navy training facility, underscoring its significant role in the nation’s history.

In 1983, the City of Vermilion acquired the marina and surrounding property, transforming it into a public park that opened in 1986. Today, Maple Grove Marina & Park offers 103 boat slips, a boat launch, and an array of amenities including picnic areas, a playground, and well-maintained shower and restroom facilities. Located on the shores of Lake Erie, it provides a stunning vista and a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for boaters and families alike. The marina is also home to several local boating clubs and hosts various events throughout the year, ensuring a lively and engaging experience for all visitors.
