Comparing Fee Structures

Knowing how these fees affect your earnings can help you make informed decisions and maximize your income.

There are two main host fee models that most platforms use: pay-per-booking and annual subscription.

Pay-Per-Booking

In the pay-per-booking model, you pay a percentage-based fee for each reservation guests make. At Lake, the fee structure is straightforward. We charge a 10% fee based on the total rental amount.

Annual Membership Option

Annual subscription models can be attractive for hosts with multiple properties or who prefer a flat fee. Lake offers an annual subscription for $499, covering all your property listings without paying per reservation.

Comparing Your Options

Here’s a quick comparison of the pay-per-booking and the membership options:

By understanding the different fee structures of vacation rental platforms, you can select the most appropriate option for your hosting needs and maximize your earnings. When deciding, consider the number of reservations, listing preferences, and additional costs. It will help you make the most out of your vacation rental business.
