Boca Ciega Yacht Club (BCYC) is one of Florida’s most vibrant and welcoming sailing communities—often described as the most exciting, friendliest, and “cruisingest” club in the state. Tucked along the scenic shoreline of Boca Ciega Bay in the charming waterfront town of Gulfport, BCYC is just four miles from the open waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This prime location provides sailors with immediate access to protected bay sailing and West Florida’s top cruising destinations, including Egmont Key, Pass-a-Grille, and beyond.
Open year-round with clubhouse hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM most days, the club features 38 slips accommodating sailboats up to 40 feet, with moorings available for larger vessels. BCYC primarily serves sailing vessels from brands such as Catalina, Hunter, Beneteau, and Island Packet, and welcomes both seasoned cruisers and new sailors with a passion for the wind and waves.
BCYC hosts regular regattas, family-friendly flotillas, sunset socials, and annual events like the popular Christmas Boat Parade. Nearby, Gulfport’s beachy downtown features restaurants like Pia’s Trattoria, O’Maddy’s Bar & Grille, and boutique shops such as The Reef and Domain Home Accessories. Whether you’re here for serious sailing, a family reunion, or just a good time on the water, BCYC is a true Florida gem.
