Shell Point Marina, located at the mouth of the Little Manatee River in Ruskin, Florida, is a private, member-only marina and club offering a true “Old School Florida” experience just minutes from open access to Tampa Bay. Privately owned and operated, the marina has undergone a complete transformation, evolving from its historic roots into a vibrant, boater-focused haven while preserving its laid-back coastal charm.
Open daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Shell Point Marina offers 55 wet slips that accommodate a range of watercraft up to 50 feet, including popular brands like Sea Ray, Pursuit, Boston Whaler, and Grady-White. The on-site service yard handles everything from regular maintenance to complex mechanical repairs. While access is limited to members, transient boaters can take advantage of convenient fuel and pump-out services.
Guests and members alike enjoy a guided marina tour, complete with a cold drink in hand and maybe a friendly game of pool or air hockey under the tiki-themed entertainment pavilion. The marina’s grounds even include resident leopard tortoises, adding a whimsical, family-friendly touch.
Nearby, guests can visit The Fish House or Ybor Grille, as well as local bait and tackle shops. Shell Point Marina is a favorite for boaters seeking a private escape for family vacations, guys’ fishing weekends, and community gatherings with a touch of character.
